Data Center Lift for Over-Sized Loads

Sept. 13, 2019
RackLift's data center lift safely lifts communication devices weighing up to 650 lb.

The RackLift 600RS manual lifter navigates narrow aisles easily due to its tower-style design and 28-in. square footprint. One technician can safely lift communication devices such as switches, blade servers, and cooling units weighing up to 650 lb.

Thanks to the open-back design, larger and longer servers can now be loaded in from the front or backside of the unit. This innovation allows you to keep expensive equipment centered and balanced during transport. The 600RS uses a side balanced, double-cabled lift basket. It is ideally suited for lifting many of the new servers that house all the hard drives on one side causing weight/balance issues.

The "open back design" provides three major advantages:

  1. Loads can be centered and balanced on the lift table during transport.
  2. Transporting long servers in tight data center aisles can be done "inline" as opposed to perpendicular to the aisle, unlike the competitors.
  3. The bidirectional lift table glides on stainless steel bearings in both directions for greater convenience and ease.

The front-loading lift table extends 24 in. into the rack to facilitate easier installations.
