HDPE-coated cable or “tree wire” is often used in heavily wooded areas because of its ability to withstand contact with branches and falling trees during bad weather. The slippery nature of tree wire, however, can present difficulties for linemen when pulling.
Parallel Jaw Grips are specifically designed to securely pull common tree wire cable without damaging the cable jacket. The common cable types include General Cable, Hendrix aerial systems, Rite Lite BLL conductor and Southwire S2 covered cable.
