A clear epoxy for applications requiring continuous operation at 300°C, AC-526N-CL, is a very unique, low viscosity adhesive that yields very high electrical insulation properties with a low dielectric constant of 2.8. It is used in optical applications due to its high transmission rate and a refractive index of 1.56. High bond strength allows for use as an adhesive, sealant, impregnant, and structural bonder. Once fully cured, AC-526N-CL exhibits a glass transition temperature of 190°C which will prevent movement in aligned parts even during temperature cycling.
The AC-526N-CL is easy to use with a 1:1 mix ratio and a 12 hour working time. It can be cured as fast as 1 hour at 150°C. Polymerization of this system creates a very tough plastic that offers excellent moisture, chemical and corrosion resistance as well as resistance to thermal and mechanical shock.
