Transducer Gets Updated for IoT Capabilities

July 31, 2017

The digiVIT digital variable impedance transducer has been updated with a user-friendly, graphical user interface (GUI) for easier setup and connectivity; cloud-based data access/monitoring; and a wide array of networking capabilities ideal for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications.

digiVIT is the one of the most advanced digital signal conditioner for noncontact linear position and displacement sensing available on the market. It is a self-configuring system, which is capable of performing with nearly any sensor, from any manufacturer, as well as any conductive target. The transducer also features simple pushbutton calibration, temperature compensation, and zeroing.

It features scrolling menus for intuitive set-up and calibration, as well as Ethernet communication capabilities. In addition, it is capable of detecting when no sensors or shorted sensors are present. The large integral digital display makes it easy for users to read all of the transducer’s information.

Self-optimization capabilities ensure the best performance possible for any given combination of sensor, target, cable, and calibration. Its embedded intelligence ensures that all functions are accessible, with no need to connect to a PC to download a configuration file when changing sensors or performing high level calibrations.

Features:

  • Self tuning bridge will perform with nearly any sensor, any conductive target
  • Pushbutton calibration
  • Pushbutton temperature compensation
  • Pushbutton zeroing
  • Embedded intelligence, all functions accessible without a PC
  • Large easy to read digital display
  • Scrolling menus for set up and calibration
  • Ethernet communication
  • No sensor, shorted sensor detection
  • Programmable switched output
