Low-Maintenance nEDC 65-150 Series of Dry Claw Vacuum Pumps

July 1, 2024
Edwards Vacuum's nEDC 65-150 pump models of dry claw vacuum pumps for lower pumping speed classes feature an oil-free pump chamber and low-wear, corrosion-free internal components.

The nEDC 65-150 pump models are dry claw vacuum pumps for lower pumping speed classes. Easily handling contaminants, the smaller pumps are ideal for water & wastewater, thermoforming, vacuum conveying, food processing, and medical technology.

Features include an oil-free pump chamber and low-wear, corrosion-free internal components. The vacuum pump also has effective air cooling and compact housing for installation in tight spaces.

The inside of the pump is easily accessible to users for maintenance and repairs because the developers have separated the gear and pump chambers. This means that the claw pump can be easily cleaned by users themselves and then quickly put back into operation. No special tools are required.

The pump characteristics of the claw pump enable sustainable, profitable operation with low total operating costs. These pumps achieve higher process outputs as their motors are VSD compatible.

The temperatures inside the pump are comparatively low, extending the service life of the seals and preventing oil leaks. Furthermore, this results in long-term operation without the need for constant cleaning of the pump chamber. The integrated base silencer means that they take up less space and operate much more quietly.

Features:

  • Modular design ensures efficiency during the operational lifecycle
  • Lower internal temperatures increase lip seal life and prevent oil leaks
  • Re-designed and in-house developed silencer significantly reduces noise levels.
  • Can be easily cleaned on-site and re-started by customers without the need for specialized tools
