Automation24 Adds DwyerOmega Solutions to Portfolio

Automation24 has added DwyerOmega to its product lineup. Dwyer Instruments and Omega Engineering merged in 2022.

The Dwyer Instruments portfolio offers differential pressure gauges, process flow meters, and indoor air quality monitors & controllers.

The Omega Engineering portfolio offers temperature control and measurement solutions, such as temperature probes, connectors, and calibrators.

Industries that benefit the most from the Dwyer and Omega offerings include HVAC, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, water treatment, and manufacturing.

AutomationDirect Adds Nidec U.S. Motors ACCU-Torq Motors

AutomationDirect has added more ACCU-Torq motors from Nidec U.S. Motors. The ACCU-Torq motors are high-performance inverter duty motors that offer a cost-effective solution for applications that require 100% torque down to zero speed. They're available in 230/460 V AC and sizes up to 20 hp at 1,800 rpm and from 0.25 to 10 hp at 1,200 rpm.

Models with a preinstalled encoder are available in sizes from 0.25 to 20 hp at 1,800 rpm. A separately purchased encoder retrofit kit, which includes an Avtron HS35A full-quadrature encoder, is also part of this addition.

The ACCU-Torq motors with a 143 frame or larger come with a 3-year warranty and start at $578. Smaller framed motors and the encoder retrofit kit come with a 1-year warranty.

Accu Adds Brass Threaded Inserts for Plastic Operations

Accu, a UK engineering component distributor, has added Brass Threaded Inserts to its range for designers and engineers, especially those working in plastic prototyping and 3D printing.

The small, cylindrical components feature internal threading designed to be embedded into softer materials, like thermoplastics. Their main purpose is to create a solid and permanent connection for secure fastening of screws without harming the parent material.

Manufactured from high-quality brass, the inserts provide strong corrosion resistance and conduct heat effectively.

Accu provides a range of metric sizes for threads from M3 to M6. Insert depths range from 6 to 13 mm (0.2 to 0.5 in), with recommended hole sizes between 4 and 8 mm (0.15 to 0.3 in). Accu also provides custom Brass Threaded Inserts to meet customer specifications.

Viably Now Offers Scott Equipment Company's Food Waste Systems Nationwide

Viably (formerly Komptech Americas), a supplier of waste processing solutions in North America, has announced that it has expanded its role as a distributor for Scott Equipment Company's Turbo Separator food waste depackaging systems to be nationwide.

The new expansion adds California to its territory, now offering this food waste recycling technology across the entire United States and Canada for sustainable organics waste management solutions.

The Turbo Separator helps commercial compost facilities, food manufacturers, waste haulers, landfills, and other environmental organizations to efficiently process packaged food waste and recover organic material. It's offered in multiple stationary models and a newly introduced mobile unit.

Cleansweep, an additional technology, works with the Turbo Separator as a secondary system to remove microplastics and other small contaminants from organic materials.
