Migatron Corporation has launched the Intrinsically Safe Ultrasonic Sensor, RPS-429AA-40P-IS2. This advanced sensor delivers unparalleled accuracy and reliability in distance measurement and object detection, with certifications for hazardous environments. It features the latest non-digital technology, eliminating bugs and error codes from missed updates and regular computer problems.
The RPS-429AA-40P-IS2 provides precise distance readings from 1 to 40 in. (25 to 1,000 mm), making it ideal for industrial automation, and tank level monitoring in the oil, gas, and mining industries. By emitting ultrasonic waves and measuring their return time, it accurately determines distances within 0.001 in. (0.02 mm). With a response time of just 100 ms, it outperforms traditional sensors, ensuring rapid and accurate feedback.
The RPS-429AA-40P-IS2 produces 0.444 mA for every inch between the sensor and the target. When the target is 4 in. (102 mm), away, the current output is 4.0 mA. When the target is 40 in. (1,016 mm) away, the current output is 20.0 mA, and so on. This relationship is linear throughout the range of the sensor, so it's easy to translate current output into distance.
