Clean Bench Provides Class 100 or Class 10 Clean Environment
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Clean Air Products introduces the Series 303 Horizontal Laminar Flow Clean Bench. This general-purpose unit provides a Class 100 or Class 10 clean air environment ideal for laboratory work, testing, manufacturing, inspection or pharmaceutical operations. The cabinets are designed for quiet operation, with a typical sound level of approximately 65dbA. Sound levels vary depending on the size of the unit.
The Series 303 has an open front work area for placement in front of equipment or as a stand-alone unit that is particularly useful for vibration sensitive work. HEPA filters provide horizontal laminar flow air that washes out particulates and prevents contamination from entering the clean work zone. The cabinet features clean edge construction that puts the hood in shear with the media edge of the HEPA filter. This reduces turbulence along the sides of the hood, improving the laminar flow and preventing contamination infiltration around the perimeter of the hood.
The units feature all-metal construction with a Vinclad exterior for rugged durability and long life operation. Two white fluorescent lamps with an energy efficient ballast provide illumination for the work area. A clear polycarbonate hood provides a controlled work area and assists in directional air flow. The Series 303 uses a HEPA FLEX duct system to provide air flow from the blower to the HEPA filter. The duct system, along with the cabinet blower, provides a negative pressure area on the cabinet interior.
A number of options are available, including a removable perforated HEPA filter protective grill, a safety glass hood, an extended hood (no built-in table), and ultraviolet germicidal lamps.
