STATSHIELD® METAL-IN ESD BAG

Oct. 19, 2006
Protektive Pak is introducing new Statshield® Metal-In ESD shielding bags. These bars have low-charging interior and exterior layers. Inherent static dissipative properties will not wear off, and are not humidity dependent. Thermo transfer printing will not flake off or particulate, thereby reducing cross-contamination. Proprietary film has very low NVR and ionics. Independent lab chemical analysis is available. 40% light transmission allows for easy identification of bag contents. Meets MIL-PRF-81705D Type III. ANSI/ESD S541 6.2 states that “Transportation of sensitive products outside of an EPA (ESD Protected Area) shall require packaging that provides: 1. Low charge generation; 2. Dissipative or conductive materials for intimate contact; 3. A structure that provides electrostatic discharge shielding.” Statshield® Metal-In ESD shielding bags meet this requirement. Ten standard sizes to cover most applications are available in both zipper and non-zipper. • Surface Resistance: • Outer Surface <10E11 ohms • Aluminum Layer <10E2 ohms • Inner Surface <10E11 ohms • Static Shielding <25 nJ • Charge Generation Teflon: 0.09 nC/sq. in.
