Highland Tank’s patented oil/water separators with the new CorellaTM coalescer help petroleum storage facilities comply with the EPA’s regulations for spill and secondary containment to satisfy the facility’s SPCC Plan. Highland CorellaTM coalescer equipped separators, greatly reduce the level of oil and oily coated solids discharged by petroleum storage facilities. The Corella™ inclined parallel plate coalescers combines the features of both a flat plate coalescer and a corrugated plate coalescer into a new “self-cleaning” design that performs better than traditional plate separators. The separators are used as part of the facility’s drainage system and designed to hold the maximum capacity of any single compartment of the tank truck loaded or unloaded at the facility. Highland CorellaTM separators are available with the new Underwriter’s Laboratories, Inc. SU2215 design, construction, and performance label for engineered oil/water separators rated at 10-ppm oil and grease. • Highland Tank Model R-HT-200 UL-SU2215 Aboveground Parallel Corrugated Plate Gravity Displacement Oil/Water Separator. • Separator shall be furnished with oil level alarm system. • Oil/Water Separator shall be 5’0” long X 2’0” wide X 3’0” high, • Having a total volume of 200 gallons to comply with Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) plan requirements at the facility. • The sizing of this oil/water separator is consistent with industry protocols for complying with the minimum federal spill and discharge regulations therefore a separator of smaller volume is not permissible.
