Ruland Manufacturing Co., Inc. has expanded its quick clamping shaft collar line to accommodate sizes up to 3 inches and 75 mm. They are designed for light duty stationary or low-RPM applications that require quick positioning adjustments or frequent set up changes where the use of tools is not practical. Quick clamping shaft collars slide on the shaft smoothly and have easy access to the handle, allowing them to be removed or repositioned with little effort. When installed the handle sits flush with the outside diameter making them suitable for rotating applications. The design features a tension-adjustment screw which makes the collar compatible to shaft tolerances.
All Ruland shaft collars, including quick clamping, have tightly controlled face to bore perpendicularity for proper component positioning on the shaft and even pressure on interfaced components. They are also stamped with the Ruland name and bore size for ease of identification. Quick clamping shaft collars are available in bore sizes ranging from 0.2500 inch to 3 inches and 6 mm to 75 mm. Quick clamping shaft collars are part of Ruland’s complete shaft collar line which also includes: one- and two- piece clamp styles, threaded, bearing locknut, heavy duty, double wide, and set screw. Ruland also manufactures rigid couplings with precision honed bores and a full line of zero backlash couplings: beam, bellows, disc, jaw, and oldham.
