XZR Positioning Stages

Feb. 21, 2022
With four motor options, Optimal Engineering Systems' XZR Positioning Stages are built-to-order and high precision.

With the XZR Positioning Stages (X-axis, Z-axis, and Rotary-axis), a user can select from a combination of linear stages with travel lengths of 0.6 in. (15 mm), 1.2 in. (30 mm), 2 in. (50 mm), and 3 in. (75 mm) for the X and Z axes that feature high precision 0.04 in. (1 mm) per turn lead screws. For the rotary axis, a 2.4 in. (60 mm) diameter rotary table or 3.9 in. (100 mm) diameter rotary table are available.

There are four motor options: -01 version which has Stepper Motor driven axes, -02 version has Three-Phase Servo Motor driven axes with Quadrature Incremental Optical Encoders, -03 version has DC Servo Motor driven axes with Quadrature Incremental Optical Encoders and -04 version has Stepper Motor driven axes with Quadrature Optical Encoders for position verification.

The X and Z axes feature positional accuracy of 0.0004 in. (10 ?m) and repeatability of 0.0002 in. (5 ?m). These stages are ideal for laser scanning, machining and drilling, alignment, mirror positioning, inspection, and testing.

Each axis is equipped with limit switches to signal the motion controller for end-of-travel positions. The rotary axes have calibrated scales for visual indication and precision pattern of threaded holes for mounting tooling or fixtures.
