A series of actuators based on PI Mag non-contacting voice-coil linear motor technology ensures greater dynamics and positioning accuracy. With low wear and high lifetime, different travel and force capabilities are available, in addition to custom-engineered solutions.
The V-273 automation actuator comes with a unique controller that reads the actuator's force and position sensors in parallel and seamlessly switches from closed-loop force control to position control, and vice versa. OEM and industrial applications with rigorous throughput and uptime requirements benefit greatly from these features. With force resolutions to the Milli-Newton range and 100-nm linear encoder resolution, the mechanism provides ultra-smooth action transitions.
Step size and frequency are variable and allow the user to control the desired speed and positioning resolution. The position sensor resolution of the new N-472 actuator is below one nanometer. PiezoMike products simplify the automated adjustment of mechanical and optomechanical components. The motion ranges from 0.3 to 1 in. are standard, as well as vacuum capability.
