The newest addition to the F53 valve range, the F53Ndeto with 0.25-in. connections provides protection against deflagrations and stable detonations of flammable gases and gas mixtures.
Its small size, compliance with DIN EN ISO 16852, and versatility in installation orientation make setup a breeze. It's backed by EU type-approval from the German Federal Physical-Technical Institute PTB, in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX) standards.
Certified for Group IIA, IIB, and IIC flammable gases and gas mixtures per EN/IEC 60079-20-1 (excluding oxygen combinations), the F53Ndeto has a sintered chrome-nickel steel flame arrester that reliably halts flashbacks.
What sets it apart from other flame arrestors is its additional fail-safe mechanism: the temperature-sensitive element proactively extinguishes sustained flashbacks long before internal temperatures become hazardous. If temperatures spike beyond a critical threshold, a specialized plastic component melts, sealing the valve and halting gas flow, ensuring maximum user safety.
As a deflagration flame arrester, the F53Ndeto is ideal for safeguarding systems and components with volumes up to 4.6 liters and absolute pressures up to 1.1 bar, perfect for chemical industry applications. For detonation flame arrestor duties, it handles absolute pressures up to 1.5 bar in small pipelines and protects gas analyzers with ease.
Crafted from stainless steel (1.4404) with seals composed of FKM or FFKM, the F53Ndeto comes standard with G1/4 female thread connections and can operate at temperatures up to 60°C.
The F53Ndeto is ideal for industries such as oil & gas, petrochemicals, and chemicals, as well as for safeguarding sensors and laboratory equipment.
