U93A, an easy-to-mount miniature force sensor with optional digital or analog interfaces, is for use in production and assembly lines or overcoming test challenges that require measurements of tensile/compressive forces in confined spaces.
The small and stiff sensor measures static and highly dynamic tensile and compressive forces. Its small dimensions and dynamic properties make it a cost-effective alternative to piezoelectric force sensors.
The mechanical connection is straightforward and secure due to the flange screw connections on both sides. The sensor has an IP68 protection rating, making it suitable for outdoor use as well.
Easy to configure, it easily adapts to various conditions. Its design, featuring supporting diaphragms, makes the sensor resistant to lateral forces. The cable of the U93A force sensor is compatible with drag chains and is oil-resistant.
It's available as a traditional passive mV/V sensor or as a force transducer with different hardwired amplifier modules. Models with 0 to 10V or 4 to 20 mA are available, as well as a digital module with an IO-Link interface.
With IO–Link the force sensor can be integrated into any PLC system. The IO-Link version comes with a sensor health warning, which enables the sensor to compare conditions concerning temperature and force introduced within the limits of the sensor. When limits are exceeded, the sensor sends a warning to prevent failure. Limit switches, filters, or digital outputs are included as well, helping to solve typical challenges in the world of production and assembly.
IP68-rated, rust-free, and suitable for use in drag chains, it's ideal for laboratory-based tests and tough environments, such as vehicle engines, outside measurements, or moving machinery parts.
