AMBRELL, a manufacturer of induction heating systems, released a new line of EkoHeat induction heating systems consisting of 72 models ranging from 10 kW to 1200 kW, in frequencies ranging from 750 to 150 kHz. The new systems have a modular design that allows power to be added to each system later if application requirements change.
Also the system design offers parts commonality to enable simplified worldwide support. EkoHeat units are highly efficient with a direct offline inverter and a power factor in excess of 0.9.
Versatility is another benefit of the new EkoHeat systems. They are parallel resonant with multiple-tap transformer configurations to allow matching of the part. The ability to change capacitance in the workhead adds more versatility.
Digital agile frequency tuning ensures repeatability. The workhead may be located up to 30 m (100 feet) from the EkoHeat power supply, which means a minimal footprint is required. All EkoHeat systems feature a large, easy-to-use, front-panel display and are compatible with Ambrell’s eView process data collection software tool.
“We’re excited to discuss all of the benefits of our new EkoHeat induction heating systems at IMTS,” said Tom Dickerson, director of sales. “They are highly versatile, efficient, scalable and available in a wide range of power levels. There are many advantages to induction from Ambrell, and we look forward to showing IMTS attendees how we can help enhance their heating process and improve their productivity with an induction solution from Ambrell.”
