MAGNETEK INC., a developer of digital power and motion control systems, introduced the IMPULSE∙T variable-frequency crane controls, recommending the system for contactor control upgrades and replacements. It said the IMPULSE∙T offers the basic functionality of a variable-frequency drive for CMAA Class A-D traverse motions.
Magnetek is North America’s largest supplier of digital drive systems for industrial cranes, hoists, and monorails and also provides radio remote controls, motors, braking and collision avoidance subsystems to North America’s foremost overhead material handling crane builders.
“The IMPULSE∙T makes drive programming so easy you can have your crane up and running in a few simple steps,” according Jason Wellnitz, Magnetek’s controls product and development manager. “It’s the perfect low-cost, easy-to-configure variable-frequency drive for small cranes and is also suitable for retrofits.”
IMPULSE∙T was designed to be a cost-effective, simple-to-use, reliable variable frequency drive for the crane and hoist market.
UL-recognized motor overload protection comes standard with the IMPULSE∙T to protect motor and peripheral electronics from damage.
