Motovilikhinskiye Zavody, a Russian steelmaker and manufacturer of specialized equipment for the oil exploration and drilling, construction, mining, and nuclear-power industries, will install a new forging complex designed by Danieli Breda. The new plant’s principal equipment will be a 30-MN hydraulic press with a 20-mt, rail-bound manipulator, to forge HSLA and medium- and high-alloyed steel, as well as extra-low carbon steels.
According to Danieli Breda, the new plant is part of a modernization program of the plant in Perm, aimed at expanding the variety of steel grades produced for the plant’s own machine-building workshops and to increase production of forgings for Russian and European markets.
