Ellwood Specialty Steel, an integrated producer of tool steels for molds and dies used in forging, diecasting, injection molding, and various other tooling applications, has local officials' approval for two expansion projects at its plant in Wilmington Township, near New Castle, PA.
The company plans to add a 10,800-sq.ft addition to a building on its plant site, as well as a 7,560-sq.ft structure at that location.
The Lawrence County Planning Commission approved the development plan in a teleconference meeting earlier this month.
A company spokesperson told the Commission the additions will add workspace so that Ellwood Specialty Steel can increase capacity for one of its current product lines.
