Datalogic's Gryphon 4600 series handheld barcode scanners are designed for reading 1D and 2D barcodes across retail, manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare environments.

The scanners support first-pass reading of major barcode types, including GS1 Digital Link, digital watermark, and high-density and high-resolution codes. A dual-core processor combined with AI-based neural decoding manages barcode interpretation across varied print qualities and conditions.

High-performance models use a dual-sensor optical system consisting of a 1.5 MP sensor and a VGA sensor to support near-to-far reading distances and an extended depth of field. Targeting is provided through a green LED crosshair aimer, while dual-color LED illumination adjusts automatically without requiring different scanner models.

Power options include a lithium-ion battery pack or a battery-free super capacitor pack with smart power management. Wireless charging is supported, along with visual good-read confirmation through the Green Spot indicator. The scanners are compatible with existing Gryphon cables, bases, power supplies, and chargers.

The Gryphon 4600 supports remote configuration, monitoring, and device analytics through the Datalogic Connect software platform. The series is available in High Performance, High Density, and Healthcare configurations. Healthcare models include disinfectant-ready enclosures and silver-ion antimicrobial additives for use in clinical environments.

The scanner series incorporates an eco-design approach, using more than 70% recycled materials and achieving up to 25% lower power consumption compared to previous designs. The devices feature a lighter physical design, with life cycle assessment documentation and carbon footprint certification in progress.
