AMETEK Land's Modular Gold Cup Probe is a furnace tube temperature measurement tool for use inside compact or uniquely shaped heaters and furnaces. It builds on the original Gold Cup Probe, which measures true tube temperatures through internal reflection to provide accurate emissivity data. Operators can use the probe for in-furnace verification as a reference for other instruments, including thermal imagers.

The modular design allows users to configure the probe into different shapes to suit a range of furnace types, eliminating the need to purchase multiple probes. The length of the probe can be selected up to 10 ft (3 m), depending on the variant, making it suitable for measuring smaller furnaces.

The system captures live, non-intrusive temperature readings through a furnace peep door without requiring shutdowns. By connecting with the tube wall and blocking incident radiation energy, the probe delivers accurate and repeatable data with an assumed emissivity of 1.00, providing a reliable reference measurement under operating conditions.

The probe can also be disassembled and packed into a smaller case, creating easy transport across multiple sites.
