BP1206 and BP2816 Series of Small, Thin-Film, Band-Pass Filters for Reliable RF Performance

BP1206 and BP2816 Series of compact, thin-film band-pass filters use multilayer, integrated thin-film (ITF) technology for repeatable and reliable RF performance with low insertion loss, steep attenuation, sharp roll-off, low-noise, and high temperature stability.

The filters exhibit 8 W of continuous power handling and 50Ω characteristic impedance, are rated for temperatures from -40 to 185°F (-40 to 85°C), and support frequency bands extending from 240 to 6,100 MHz for high-frequency wireless systems in the telecommunications, military, aerospace, medical, and consumer electronics. 

The BP1206 Series Thin-Film Band-Pass Filters feature a miniature 1206 case that measures 3.1 x 1.6 x 0.6 mm (L x W x H) and support frequencies of 1,250 to 6,100 MHz. Out-of-band rejection values span from -25 to -40 dB.

Exclusive applications for the BP1206 include 5G and 6G LTE networks, base stations, antenna matching, and satellite communications. 

The BP2816 Series Thin-Film Band-Pass Filters feature a compact 2816 case that measures 7.2 x 4.2 x 1.2 mm (L x W x H) and support frequencies of 240 to 1,260 MHz. Out-of-band rejection values span from -20 to -45 dB.

Exclusive applications for the BP2816 include MRI machines.

Able to be used for a wide range of high-power applications with crowded PCBs, both series allow RF parameters to be easily adjusted and feature sturdy low-profile cases with lead-free, solder-coated-nickel land grid array (LGA) terminations. They are also compatible with automated assembly processes, including reflow, wave, and vapor phase soldering.

Both filter series are manufactured in ISO-9001 facilities and 100% tested for electrical parameters and visual and mechanical characteristics. They exhibit high lot-to-lot and part-to-part repeatability, and each production lot is evaluated on a sample basis for static humidity (185°F [85°C] and 85% relative humidity for 160 h) and endurance (257°F [125°C] for 4 h). They're also RoHS compliant and IATF 16949 certified.

Ideal applications include mobile communications devices, automatic vehicle locating (AVL), emergency services, radar systems, wireless LANs, and test equipment.
