HDI Air Pak Series Offers Compressed Air, Welding, and Battery Charging in One Unit for Work Trucks

    The newest addition to the Miller work truck solutions portfolio, the HDI Air Pak series is the company's first hydraulic all-in-one unit for the work truck industry. Eliminating standalone rotary-screw compressors and engine-driven welders on work trucks, the HDI Air Pak increases truck space and payload capacity, saving up to 400 lb.

    Preorders are now available for the HDI 265 and 325 Air Pak, with shipping beginning in mid-Q2 2025.

    Each HDI Air Pak model is integrated into the truck chassis and features onboard compressed air of 40 or 60 cfm at 100% duty cycle. With the battery charge/crank assist, produce up to 150 amps of DC to quickly charge 12 and 24V batteries. Operators can crank assist weak batteries with up to 300 amps of power. The 7,000 W generator can power tools, lights, and more.

    Technicians are prepared for any welding job with 265 or 325 amps of output at 100% duty cycle, supporting DC stick (SMAW), MIG (GMAW), Aluminum MIG (GMAW), Flux-cored (FCAW), DC TIG (GTAW), and Air carbon arc (CAC-A). Additionally, Auto-Set technology offers preset weld settings for operators of all skill levels.

    Modular remote panels with outputs for battery charge, auxiliary power, and welding can be installed to reduce the risk of slips, trips, or falls. One digital interface provides information for the air compressor, battery charge, and weld parameters, and also provides preventative maintenance alerts along with CAN bus connectivity for fleet data management insights.
