Remote Speaker Microphones (IS-RSM3x.1) for Explosive Environments
The RSM for Ex Zone 1/21, developed with i.Safe MOBILE's German technology partner Imtradex, is an ideal addition to PoC (Push-to-talk over Cellular) and lone worker protection applications in Zone 1/21.
The IS-RSM3x.1 is available as a Bluetooth or wired version and offers an ergonomic design.
The wired IS-RSM3A.1 is compatible with all mobile devices from i.safe MOBILE that have a 16-pin ISM interface (IS540.x, IS940.x, IS945.x).
The wireless model IS-RSM3B.1 can be paired wit
h all common mobile Bluetooth devices such as industrial smartphones, tablets, or radios and can be used in hazardous industrial areas in zones 1/21.
The digital remote speaker microphone in both versions is designed for use in Ex zones 1 and 21 and is has a loudspeaker (up to 103 dB). The microphones are positioned in a way that allows them to pick up voice input evenly from all directions.
The combination of two microphones enables intelligent passive noise cancellation. In conjunction with the DSP controller (Digital Signal Processor), unwanted noise is minimized, enabling clear communication in noisy working environments. Digital signal processors process real audio signals and then digitize and process them mathematically to actively suppress disruptive background noise.
The lightweight radio arranges the buttons in an easy-to-use way, even when wearing gloves.
The RSM can be attached to safety clothing using a clip included in the set. The programmable buttons (left side button e.g. for PTT, red button e.g. for SOS and up/down button e.g. for channel selection) extend the range of functions for PoC and lone worker protection applications.
It can be charged via a desktop charger. The 8-pin circular ISM interface also enables the connection of approved headsets in hazardous areas.
The replaceable battery (2200 mAh) can easily be serviced and the integrated NFC chip enables quick and easy pairing for the RSM Bluetooth version.
The IS-RSM3x.1 in the wired and Bluetooth version will be available from Q1 2025.
