IMTS 2024: Rethink Robotics Unveils Rethink Ryder Line of AMRs

Sept. 9, 2024
Rethink Robotic's Rethink Ryder Line of AMRs offers two models for light and heavy-duty applications with integrated lift functions, 360-degree sensing, SLAM, and can be combined with a cobot arm for further applications.

Today at IMTS 2024, Rethink Robotics unveiled two AMRs.

The Rethink Ryder line includes the light-duty MRE 550 model that handles payloads of up to 550 kg (1,212 lb.) and the heavy-duty MRE 1400 model that handles payloads of up to 1,400 kg (3086 lb.). Both robots come with an integrated lift function.

Rethink Ryder AMRs have multi-detection technologies with 360-degree sensing for analyzing and responding to real-time changes in the environment. They also navigate independently without any additional components.

Low-level controllers and sensor data are accessible through open architecture software compatible with third-party applications. A simultaneous location and mapping system (SLAM) provides environmental visualization for pallet identification, dynamic obstacle bypassing, and trajectory planning.

With a compact design, the Ryder AMR line is ideal for applications that require moving various loads and containers. A Rethink Ryder AMR can perform mobile manipulation at new levels of efficiency when combined with a collaborative robot arm and an independent, detachable battery box.
