CorShield VpCI-146 Paper with Eco-Bio Technology enhances the biodegradable and compostable characteristics of a naturally sourced paper that provides reliable corrosion protection on both sides.
It is a USDA Certified Biobased Product that contains 92% USDA certified biobased content. Furthermore, it is made from 100% recycled content paper, doubling its sustainable sourcing. At the end of the product life cycle, it has multiple disposal options.
The Eco-Bio Technology relies on biodegradable and compostable Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibiting Technology to protect metals inside an enclosed package. Both sides of the paper offer effective protection to ferrous and non-ferrous metals, eliminating the need to stock a variety of papers for different metal types. Corrosion protection is achieved simply by wrapping metal items in the paper and folding the edges together, taping as needed to hold the paper in place. The VpCI coating on the paper vaporizes, reaching all metal surfaces within the package to provide complete corrosion protection with a very thin, very effective VpCI layer that does not alter product appearance or require removal before further finishing or use.
CorShield VpCI-146 is an extremely convenient material that combines corrosion protection and packaging into one step. Metal manufacturers, finishers, and shippers can use it to protect dry or oiled metals during storage, transit, and overseas shipment. It can be used for interleaving layers of parts, wrapping parts, or capping the ends of tubes. It protects multiple metal types and is effective against aggressive environments including humidity, SO2, H2S, and galvanic corrosion from dissimilar metals.
