EXspect 271 Back Scattering Sensor

Oct. 18, 2021
The EXNER EXspect 271 Back Scattering Sensor is mainly used in applications where it is necessary to determine turbidity in medium and high measuring ranges.

Characterized by its economic use, compact and robust design, and stainless steel housing, the EXspect 271 is a reliable back scattering sensor with an integrated transmitter. It is mainly used in the food and beverage industry, as well as in many other applications where it is necessary to determine turbidity in medium and high measuring ranges. Another advantage of the sensor is the spherical design of the measuring optics. This minimizes the adhesion of air bubbles and the formation of deposits.

It is possible to use the sensor not only in applications with a process pressure of up to 20 bar (290 psi), but also in vacuum applications. Cleaning and sterilization using CIP and SIP processes are possible.

The turbidity value can be displayed in % or in a freely definable customer-specific unit directly in the display and output via the standard interface 4...20 mA. Two alarm limits can be programmed.

  • Compact design with integrated amplifier and touch display
  • %-turbidity or cusomer defined unit
  • Durable sapphire lens
  • Hygienic Design, CIP/SIP-capable
  • LED light source guarantees a durable and stable signal
  • Easy parameterization via display or software EXpert
