Environmentally-Safe 3D Printer

Aug. 25, 2020

A first of its kind 3D printer in the sub-$5K category, RIZE 2XC uses a dual-extrusion system 3D printer unit from Sindoh Co., Ltd., a multi-function printer and 3D printer manufacturer based in South Korea, which has been redesigned to run RIZE’s RIZIUM innovative portfolio of engineering-grade materials that are zero emissions, recyclable, moisture-resistant and require minimal post-processing.

RIZE 2XC is the first deliverable of the RIZIUM Alliance, where a leading 3D printing hardware partner—Sindoh—applies RIZE’s materials to their platforms, enabling customers in any sector to choose safety and sustainability at any price-point. RIZIUM materials are uniquely engineered for safety and user health by avoiding the airborne release of chemicals common in other filament-based 3D printers.

The RIZE 2XC provides an affordable way to create strong, durable, and fully functional components, safely and sustainably, with an exceptional time to part. Each of two independent extruders are specifically designed for hardened materials and composite filaments. One extruder runs RIZE’s portfolio of RIZIUM composites and polymers, which are moisture and chemically resistant, and easily sanitized with soap and water. The other extruder runs RIZIUM Support, a support removal material technology for filament-based extrusion systems, which ensures effortless post-processing without requiring additional efforts or chemicals.

As post-pandemic business demands greater supply chain flexibility, the RIZE 2XC enables organizations to optimize safety and productivity. Users can locate RIZE 2XC printers adaptively at home, in offices or anywhere—without concern for the release of airborne volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are common in other 3D printing materials and proven to be harmful. Users can work with exceptional efficiency and safety, building new adaptive workflows with processes that keep teams safe and avoid the transmission of germs.
