Mixing & Molding System

Jan. 22, 2020

THE MIX-MOLDER SYSTEM includes a hand-operated Injection molding machine (Model S-100) and a miniature polymer mixing device (Model M-100). It’s suitable for mixing together small quantities of molten plastics, additives, and fillers and then immediately injecting that mixed material to create molded parts for evaluation. Typical uses include R&D, experimenting with new polymer blends, making specimens (e.g. tensile, Izod) for quality control and batch testing of recycled resins, overmolding wires, and cables (e.g. strain reliefs), creating functional prototypes and doing short production runs.

Available now is a new line of aluminum master mold frames. Users can 3D print their own molds to fit inside the frame, which serves as a support structure for the mold.

The benefit of 3D printing your own molds is that it eliminates the cost and time of machining a metal mold, and with Galomb’s Mix-Molder® System, you can produce real injection molded parts within minutes after printing that mold.
