MiR500 AMR for Heavy Transport

Aug. 14, 2018
Mobile Industrial Robots' heavy-duty AMR lifts up to 1,102 lb. (500 kg) and collects, transports, and delivers pallets with speeds of 4.5 mph (7 kph).

2019 NED Innovation Award Winner

The MiR500 autonomous mobile robot (AMR) has a lifting capacity of 1,102 lb. (500 kg) and can automatically collect, transport, and deliver pallets with speeds of nearly 4.5 mph (7 kph).

The robot navigates safely around people and obstacles with all of the stringent safety standards required for TÜV certification. Using MiR advanced technology and sophisticated software, it can recognize obstacles in a 360-deg. radius, allowing the robot to navigate autonomously via the most efficient route to its destination—even in dynamic environments where people and vehicles are moving.

The user interface matches that used in the MiR100 and MiR200, which already optimize production processes in many of the world’s biggest multinational companies such as Airbus, Flex, Honeywell, Hitachi, and Danone. The difference is the MiR500’s size, lifting capacity, and areas of application.

The MiR500 is the same size as a standard Euro-pallet (47 x 31.5 x 6 in. (1,193 x 800 x 152 mm)), and MiR expects that most MiR500s will be used to transport pallets in manufacturing floors and warehouses. Specially designed MiR pallet lifters and frames ensure stable handling and transport. The high speed of the MiR500 streamlines pallet transport in all types of companies and frees up employees so they can carry out more valuable activities.

  • Efficient transportation of payloads up to 1,102 lb. (500 kg) with high speed
  • Optimizes your internal transportation of heavy loads and pallets and allows employees to focus on higher-value activities
  • Eliminates material flow bottlenecks to increase productivity
  • Maneuvers safely and efficiently around people and obstacles in even highly dynamic environments
  • Requires no changes to existing facility
  • Extremely flexible and can be redeployed for different tasks with customized top modules
  • User-friendly interface that can be programmed without prior experience
