New MRC Marathon® ‘XDs’ Mounted Bearing Units Highly Durable For Food And Beverage Industry Demands
New MRC Marathon® “XDs” mounted bearing units incorporate cast or machined stainless steel housings and stainless insert bearings to provide optimized durability and corrosion resistance for challenging food and beverage industry applications.
Their housing construction offers added strength and toughness for applications where loads are very heavy or shock loads are possible. The AISI 300 series stainless housings can further withstand exposure to extremely aggressive washdown chemicals, even when present in strong concentrations.
Design features of these extreme duty mounted bearing units include flat bases without recesses and universally smooth surfaces to minimize trapped debris and bacteria and allow for thorough cleaning. Users can specify standard cast stainless housings or machined stainless versions exhibiting enhanced surface smoothness due to production from solid stainless plate.
As with the entire family of Marathon mounted bearing units, the XDs series integrates a proven stainless insert bearing design and patented sealing arrangement. Units are greased-for-life for maintenance-free operation.
Available housing styles include pillow block, two- and four-bolt flange, tapped base, three-bolt bracket flange, wide and narrow slot take-up units, compact two- and three-bolt flange, and piloted flange units.
Made-to-Order (MTO) warranted products can be developed through MRC’s dedicated MTO program.
