DP Technology, creators of ESPRIT CAM software, will publicly introduce its latest release, ESPRIT 2007, at IMTS 2006, on booth D-3101. ESPRIT 2007 includes a variety of new and upgraded features including enhancements and new functionalities for milling, turning and wire EDM programming—as well as ESPRIT FX™, the latest in advanced CAD to CAM feature exchange. ESPRIT 2007 will begin shipping to customers in the late summer. ESPRIT FX™ESPRIT FX™ is the latest in advanced CAD to CAM feature exchange technology, included in ESPRIT 2007, which allows users to automatically capture the original design intent, clearly define what the user is machining, and program parts quicker and more accurately. Going beyond transferring just the part geometry, the FX™ technology provides portions of the original CAD Feature Tree directly inside the ESPRIT user interface thereby including the complete original design intent – features, tolerances, material properties, surface finishes, administrative data, etc. Using the FX™ technology the CAD features and their associated properties are mapped into machinable features providing a complete definition of ‘what’ is being machined. These manufacturing features and their properties are then fed into the ESPRIT KnowledgeBase which aid the user in automatically selecting how to machine the part based upon existing best practices. ESPRIT Mold In addition DP Technology will be demonstrating its newest addition to the ESPRIT CAM software family, ESPRIT Mold™, an automated, easy-to-use, robust and powerful 3-axis and 5-axis CAM system. This product incorporates over twelve years of accumulated expertise and comprehensive technology within the areas of 3-axis, 5-axis and high-speed machining. ESPRIT Mold is a member of the ESPRIT family of CAM software which also includes ESPRIT SolidMill™, ESPRIT SolidTurn™, ESPRIT SolidMillTurn™ and ESPRIT SolidWire™. Customer Appreciation Days at IMTS Any customer with an active SMC (Software Maintenance Contract) is welcome to attend DP Technology’s second Customer Appreciation Days event. DP will provide personalized application engineering sessions of one hour for up to two people in the same company at the same session. Topics are completely customer driven and, for example, may include an in-depth discussion of technical issues, suggestions for product enhancements, and/or a personalized preview of ESPRIT 2007. All sessions are conducted at the ESPRIT booth, in a semi-private room away from the hubbub of the show floor.
