DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE SWITCHES FOR HIGH LINE PRESSURES FEATURE ADJUSTABLE REED SWITCHES

Aug. 19, 2006
Differential pressure (DP) switches from Orange Research are designed for applications involving high line pressures. The switches are available in piston models (up to 10,000 psig line pressure) and diaphragm models (up to 3,000 psig line pressure). Piston models cover DP ranges of 0-5 to 0-1,000 psid; diaphgram models cover DP ranges of 0-5" water to 0-300 psid. Both incorporate adjustable, hermetically sealed, reed switches to control processes or initiate high/low alarms or indicators. The switches are supplied with or without enclosures, depending on the DP model. Choose from SPST, normally open or normally closed, and SPDT switches. Most reed switches are field adjustable within the upper 70%-80% of the full-scale range of the DP model. All switches are preset to the full-scale range unless the customer requests a different value. When two switches are used they can be set independent of each other. Models with enclosures meet a variety of requirements, from NEMA-4X to Class 1, Div. 1 or Div. 2, or UL, CSA, CE or ATEX ratings, and many more. The DP switches are also available with optional dial cases that provide easy-to-read dial-and-pointer indicators. Dials can include dual scales, follower pointers, red or multicolor arcs and other choices to meet specific requirements.
