Oct. 6, 2006
or automotive wire harness applications that require class T4 temperature resistance, Scapa Automotive has introduced Scapa 1810, a patented, halogen-free tape that exhibits excellent performance at high temperatures between -30 and 150ºC. The product is a cost-effective replacement for nylon sleeves where low to medium abrasion resistance is required. Easily torn by hand and resistant to automotive fluids, Scapa 1810 is a black polyester cloth, single coated with a high temperature automotive-grade adhesive. The product is designed for use in range of automotive applications including battery cable containment and protection and electrical wire harnessing in engine compartments, headlamps and dashboards. Scapa 1810 unrolls easily without fraying, and offers good tensile strength and abrasion resistance. The product is self-extinguishing on the wire harness, minimizing fire risks. The product conforms to European Directive 2000/53/EC for End of Vehicle Life (ELV) recycling, and meets the global requirements of Ford ESXU5T1A303AA type D01-00 automotive specifications.• Product Type: Single Coated Tape • Adhesive Type: Rubber • Backing Type: Polyester Cloth • Thickness: 5.910 mils • Tensile Strength: N/A lb/inch • Adhesion: N/A oz/inch • Liner: kraft • Function: None
