Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, announces its Model 7283 4-Channel RS530 A/B Switch with DB25 Interface featuring Dual Serial Remote Control Ports and Dual Power Supply Ports. This switch achieves high reliability through redundancy. This switch can be remotely controlled via 2 separate computers. If one computer system is down, the other system can address each switch individually or all switches simultaneously. Two separate external power supplies are connected to the unit. Internal circuitry automatically regulates which supply will power the unit. If a supply is removed, the supply remaining will power the unit. Furthering the reliability, all switched signals are passed via copper contact relays that maintain their position and continuity even in the event of a power loss of failure. Remote commands include changing and querying the switch position and locking and unlocking the front panel pushbutton control. All (25) signal lines of the DB25 RS530 interface connectors are supported. • CONNECTORS: (6) DB25(F) Connectors on rear panel labeled A1, B1, COM1, A2, B2, COM2 • FRONT PANEL CONTROLS: Manual pushbutton, switches both channels simultaneously. • REMOTE CONTROLS: (2) DB9(F) Connectors on rear panel accept multidrop RS232. • FRONT PANEL DISPLAY: (2) LEDs A, B, indicate switch status and power presence. • POWER: (2) Power Jacks on rear panel accept power from (2) UL Approved, 120 VAC, 60 Hz power supplies (supplied with unit). • DIMENSIONS: 3.5" H x 19.0"W x 10.0"D • WEIGHT: Approx. 5.0 lbs
