Elma Electronic, a leading designer and manufacturer of rotary components and electronic packaging products, offers new flexible LED tubes that may be used to light up instrumentation or diagnostic equipment, the inside of a chassis or cabinet enclosure, and much more. The M-tube LED light system is designed for the most diverse applications -any medical, industrial, defense, communications, or other application where efficient lighting is needed in various tube configurations. The LED tubes feature a flexible modular design allowing the light guides to be bent or angled in a wide range of lengths and shapes. The units come equipped with single elements, accompanying clamping sleeve, housing equipped with an LED and a second equipped housing for the double-ended light irradiation, or an empty housing for a single attachment. The Elma light guides enable many diverse applications with standard diameters 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm as well as in lengths of 100 and 300 mm. Lengths of up to 2m are possible providing a wide sphere of activity in architecture, with edge illumination, as danger indication/alarm system, for indirect illumination and also as bright signal sources. For signal purposes and illumination or lighting Elma offers the standard colors red and white, with other colors available up request. This includes Duo LEDs and RGB variant types, so that a variation of colors is possible. The thermal management of the LED ensures reliable operation and is guaranteed to perform even under extreme environmental conditions. The light guide bar remains cool even when brightly lit. Flexible color imprinting allows various widths and patterns so that large-area lighting or a narrow spotlight is possible. The customer chooses individually according to his imprinting needs and is sent the appropriate parts. The installation of the system is very easy and does not require the use of tools. The range of applications includes industrial, defense or medical electronics (switchgear, cabinet or instrument illumination, service light, failure indication/alarm condition etc.), buildings/offices (step and edge illumination, emergency lighting, emphasis of design etc.), household goods and furniture, motor vehicles, and much more. The M-tubes' multicolor light design, low current, and a long service life can not be matched with conventional lights.
