High quality, low cost DC gearmotors for OEM applications are available from Source Engineering, Inc. of Santa Clara, CA.  These 12 mm to 50 mm DC gearmotors are available with cut steel gears for high strength applications, plastic gears for low noise requirements, and very low cost, powered metal.   Available in ratios from 5:1 up to 3000:1, these low cost DC Brush type gearmotors are ideal for pick-and-place, medical testing equipment, robotics, toys and games, valve and door actuation, ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) fin and steering actuators, appliances, manufacturing, security applications, and assembly operations. The inline and offset output shafts of the gearmotors can be custom machined with cross holes, splines, keyways, and flats, or end drilled and tapped.  Output torque of the gearmotors  range from 41 oz-in. up to 500 oz-in.  Typically peak torque of these gearmotors is 3 times rated torque.  OEMs can select from a broad selection of 3.0 to 24 VDC motors with no-load speeds to 6000 rpm. For high precision applications integral, incremental 2 channel encoders with quadrature outputs and an optional index channel are available.  These gearmotors are a cost-effective replacement or upgrade of existing machines and the best choice for new applications. Also available from Source Engineering are high quality, low cost, 2 Phase Bipolar Stepper, AC Reversible, and AC Induction Gearmotors.
