QUADRA-CHEK 330 ADDS 3-D MEASURING TO METRONICS DIGITAL READOUT LINE

July 9, 2008
Today, Metronics Inc., the world’s leading developer of software and digital readout devices for metrology applications announced the latest addition to their Quadra-Chek Line: The Quadra-Chek 330 (QC-330). The QC-330 adds 3-D measuring capabilities to Metronics’ industry-leading line of precision measuring systems. With its patented Measure Magic® technology and an enhanced color touch screen interface, QC-330 offers affordable 3-D measurement for manual CMMs. The QC-330 features versatile encoder interfaces making it compatible with virtually any manual CMM. It has a large memory capacity, includes a USB port for flash drives and printers and an RS-232 port for communication to a computer. The QC-330’s patented Measure Magic® technology automatically determines feature type based on probed points which simplifies operation and saves time. And the QC-330 incorporates a range of ergonomic and display interface innovations that advance new standards for ease-of-use in a sleek, compact design that is seamlessly incorporated onto any shop floor. The QC-330 also features a large, high-resolution LCD monitor for vivid, full color displays of 3-D measurements and operator controls. The system includes enhanced programming functionality such as alphanumeric program naming, user messages, and “arrow to target” indications that guide part probing. Hard probes, touch probes and indexable probes are supported. “The QC-330 presents a unique, affordable entry package for manual CMMs to take advantage of an easy-to-use 3-D readout solution that will reduce errors and speed inspection throughput,” said Mr. Robert Pater, Product Specialist at Metronics. A wide variety of 2-D and 3-D feature types are supported in the QC-330 allowing complex parts to be measured with ease. Tolerance displays translate data-intensive reports into at-a-glance visual displays that are easy to read. To streamline difficult and repetitive measurements, the QC-330 will also record measurement activities and store them as a program.
