Devcon Aluminum Filled Epoxies for HVAC Repairs (Fasmetal 10 & Aluminum Putty F)

July 18, 2013

Fasmetal 10 HVAC Repair paste and Aluminum Putty F cure at room temperature, withstand service temperatures up to 250°F, and resist a broad range of chemicals. Easily applied by plant personnel without special training, these versatile, 100% solids compounds can be used as part of an ongoing preventive maintenance program or for quick, durable emergency repairs, reducing downtime and returning equipment to service within hours.

FasMetal 10 HVAC Repair paste bonds to metals, ceramics, wood, concrete, and glass. Typical applications include repairing copper compressor coils, filling voids or pores in aluminum castings, and sealing leaks in pipes and tanks.  With a pot life of 60 minutes and a functional cure time of 16 hours, it hardens to a nonrusting, rigid material that can be ground, drilled, or tapped. Adhesive tensile shear (ASTM D1002) is 2,500 psi.

Aluminum Putty (F) is ideal for applications such as repairing or rebuilding aluminum castings and machinery, making jigs and fixtures, and repairing air conditioning system components. It bonds to metal or concrete and hardens to a nonrusting, rigid material that can be ground, drilled, or tapped. It has a pot life of 60 minutes and a functional cure time of 16 hours. Aluminum Putty (F) exhibits excellent resistance to chlorofluorocarbons and qualifies under DOD-C-24176B(SH), Type II. Adhesive tensile shear (ASTM D1002) is 2,600 psi.
