Trust Automation has introduced the TA2215, a compact, low cost, programmable, high current, 3-phase trapezoidal drive for DC brushless motors. The high efficiency TA2215 drive is designed for battery powered applications. Ideal for portable equipment, this low cost, pollution free, high efficiency drive is for integration into new and existing industrial applications such as: Warehouse and factory automation, conveyors, air compressors, pumps, forklifts, auto guided vehicles, and in existing applications where longer battery powered operating time, improved performance, and lower operating costs are desired.Available power is 12,000 Watts - 125 A peak (7,200 Watts - 75 A continuous) using a 36 to 96 VDC supply. The TA2215 drive uses the motor’s Hall sensors which can be selected at 60 or 120 degrees timing for velocity feedback. The drive can be programmed at start-up to ramp up at a preset rate and maintain a constant velocity regardless of changes in load. This compact brushless motor drive measures just 9.0 in. X 8.5 in. X 2.2 in. Features of the TA2215 drive include: Selectable speed ramping, status LEDs, internal drive temperature monitoring, external motor thermal switch input, fixed speed potentiometer adjustment, and 0-5V speed command with a direction input. Installation is simplified with pluggable cage clamp connections for logic and Halls, and large screw clamp connections for motor and power cables (1-8 AWG). Trust Automation’s motion control products include: Stand-alone motion and machine controllers, Linear servo amplifiers, SynqNet I/O, Brushed and Brushless Rotary Motors, Interconnect Products and Automation Engineering consulting covering Mechanical, Electrical, Software and System aspects of machine design. Since 1990 Trust Automation has provided Smart Solutions for Motion Control and Affordable Customization of motion related products.
