DBI-SALA, a Capital Safety brand, introduces the Saflok® Toggle Anchor, a safe and secure anchorage solution that can be reused in a variety of applications, thus lowering equipment costs and increasing productivity. The Saflok Toggle Anchor can serve as the tie-off point for fall arrest, fall restraint, or work positioning equipment, or for personnel riding systems in horizontal, vertical or overhead applications. The multipurpose design can be used with precast concrete, precast hollow-core concrete or steel flange applications. Installation and removal of the anchor is quick and easy. After insertion through a pre-drilled 0.75-inch (19mm) mounting hole, the stainless steel Toggle bar rotates perpendicular to the hole to secure the 5,000-pound (22.2kN) breaking strength anchor point. The Toggle position indicator ensures the anchor is properly seated in the hole, and the swiveling anchor ring provides a safe, compatible and secure connection. For immediate removal from the mounting hole, push the swivel ring and hole plug together to compress the spring and rotate the toggle.“The versatile design of the Saflok Toggle Anchor allows it to be used in multiple applications on the jobsite, maximizing the user’s investment and increasing productivity, while offering a secure and safe connection again and again,” said Tim Maroushek, product manager for systems and anchors with Capital Safety. The Saflok Toggle Anchor is designed for use in concrete with compressive strength of 5,000 psi (34.5 mPa). The anchor can be used in precast concrete from 1.5 to 4.0 inches (38 to 101mm) thick, and in precast hollow-core concrete at least 6 inches (152mm) thick and with a wall thickness from 1.5 to 4.0 inches (38 to 101mm). Steel flange applications require a thickness of 0.25 to 4.0 inches (6.35 to 101mm). Weighing in at less than one pound, the anchor is one of the most lightweight and portable anchor options available for concrete and steel applications. The anchor is designed for use by one person with a combined weight, including clothing and tools, of no more than 310 pounds (140Kg). For added jobsite versatility, two anchors can be used as the endpoints for a horizontal lifeline system. The Toggle Anchor meets all applicable industry standards including OSHA and ANSI Z359.1.
