Diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corporation announced today that select 1- and 2-wire braid and 4-spiral hose styles marketed as the new Weatherhead® Diamond Advantage program have been re-engineered to provide higher working pressures and higher temperature ratings plus a durable hose cover offering superior abrasion resistance. ncluded are the popular Weatherhead® H190, H280, H290, H430 and H245L, hose styles.“The Diamond Advantage products have higher pressure ratings, an improved temperature rating of +260 F and a better abrasion-resistant cover than previous hoses,” said Doug Jahnke, Eaton product marketing manager. “In addition, the new abrasion-resistant cover technology on these hoses is an important advancement because more than half of all hose failures can be attributed to cover abrasion.”“Eaton has leveraged its advanced engineering technologies, state-of-the-art manufacturing and quality methodologies, best practices from recent acquisitions and strategic supplier relationships to significantly enhance performance in these products,” Jahnke said. Upgraded Weatherhead® H190, H280, H290, and H245L hose styles meet and exceed Euro Norm SN/SC standards. The H430 4-spiral hose meets and exceeds EN 4SP pressures in sizes -8 through -16 and meets and exceeds SAE 100R12 standards in all sizes. Applications for the Diamond Advantage hose products are in the general hydraulics marketplace, including mobile and industrial applications in construction, agriculture, mining, forestry, material handling and in-plant automotive, plastics molding, stamping presses, robotics and many others.
