Model One, a pilot 3D printing machine is hoping to revolutionize high-volume manufacturing by creating a printer that can print functional parts, at scale, with the widest range of materials. Impossible Objects uses a composite-based additive manufacturing method (CBAM) which enables customers to use a range of composite materials.
The Model One is able to create parts that can be up to 10x stronger than current 3D printers. This 3D printer will potentially be able to allow companies to improve production speeds by 100x faster than current methods.
The Model One will be available to the public by early 2018.
