N-TRON Corporation, a leading manufacturer of rugged industrial Ethernet networking products, today introduced two additions to its successful unmanaged 100 Series product line. Both the five-port 105TX-SL and 16-port 116TX models feature hardened industrial technology in an ultra-slim format. The 100 Series includes the company’s most affordable models and offers products optimized for plug & play applications in harsh industrial environments. At only 1” wide, the 105TX-SL easily fits into limited spaces. While small in form only, the 105TX-SL features robust functionality. The switch includes five 10/100BaseTX copper ports capable of simultaneous full-wire speed performance and up to 1.0 Gb/s throughput processing. Other features include store-and-forward technology, auto negotiation, auto sensing speed and flow control. With sixteen 10/100BaseTX copper ports, the 116TX offers the highest port count available in the 100Series. Like all models in the family, the new product is simple to use. Its plug & play operation enables the unit to intuitively configure itself on the network and to perform speed and flow control functions on the fly. The 116TX provides up to 3.2Gb/s throughput with simultaneous full-wire speed on all connections.N-Tron products are recognized for their universal ruggedness and extreme reliability. Both models carry exceptional MTBF ratings of more than two million hours and provide expanded tolerances to shock, vibration, temperature fluctuations and noise—common elements in factory floor control networks, utilities, wastewater treatment, wind turbines, rail car, intelligent traffic control and transportation applications. The new units feature metal DIN-rail enclosures, redundant power inputs, and ESD/surge protection diodes at each port as well as LED indicators for link status and activity.
