Kee Safety, Inc. announces the introduction of KeeLine Overhead Lifeline Systems to provide fall protection and support for one or two workers at elevated heights during construction and maintenance. The new KeeLine Overhead personal protection equipment (PPE) system mounts directly above the user for overhead applications including vehicle loading, machine and equipment access, building cleaning and maintenance, and overhead crane access.
The system is comprised of a 5/16” thick 316 Stainless Steel wire and durable, low-maintenance electro-polished brackets with two permanently attached wheeled travelers. The brackets are installed into a suitable structure, including steel or concrete, and allow the wheeled traveler to run smoothly over those placed immediately along the wire. The travel line can be configured to allow single or multiple spans of up to nearly 78 feet between supports for use by one or two workers, according to Kee Safety. The system also incorporates the patented KeeLine shock absorbers, which limit the end loads to the structure, and KeeLine self-retracting lifelines, which lock and minimize the impact in the event of a fall. The company states that KeeLine Overhead is independently tested to conform to OSHA 1915.159, 126.502M, ANSI Z359.1 2007 and AS/NZS 1891.2, as well as CSA 13-04 and 16-04, and EN795 Class C.
