SCHURTER is expanding the successful UMT-H series of SMD fuses with thirteen additional rated currents. The expanded series now offers a total of nineteen current ratings from 160 mA to 10 A at voltages up to 277 VAC and 250 VDC. The UMT-H SMD fuse with time-lag characteristic is capable of providing reliable overcurrent protection, while protecting against short circuits up to 1500 A at rated voltage. Its compact size and high breaking capacity make it a space saving alternative to classic cylindrical 5x20mm cartridge fuses.
With a rated voltage up to 277 VAC, the UMT-H is particularly well suited for the primary protection of power supply units in addition to a wide range of applications in power circuits and sensors. It is also suitable for use in the protection of single phase industrial appliances, including devices required to meet the explosion protection standards according to IEC 60079-11. Examples include first responder equipment, industrial controls exposed to oil and gas environments, and lighting ballasts.
