Flexible IDC Ribbon Cables have been designed for use on high-precision microelectronic equipment systems that require absolute reliability and zero failure. Unlike industry-standard stiff ribbon cables that shed particulates and can only operate in moderate temperatures, the Cicoil version has been designed for tight routing, excessive temperatures, and Class 1 Clean Rooms.
The Flexx-Sil jacketed 28 AWG Ribbon Cables are available with up to 64 conductors in .050 in. and 1 mm versions. Both cables meet the standard ribbon cable dimensions and are completely compatible with any IDC connector. Cicoil’s IDC Cables are resistant to UV light, flames, steam, de-ionized water, acids, alcohol, autoclave, ozone, mechanical stress, and many chemicals. When a lower friction surface is desired, Cicoil offers its SlideRite coating option by request.
In addition, Cicoil's IDC Ribbon Cables are so flexible, they can also be bent, folded over, slit, and formed into custom shapes, while still retaining all performance characteristics. These very unique features are only offered through Cicoil's proprietary cable manufacturing process. Cicoil's Halogen-Free Ribbon Cables are UL & CSA Recognized, CE Conforming, RoHS & REACH Compliant and are cured continuously, with no debris or material contamination in an automated, climate-controlled environment. In addition, the non-particulating IDC cables exceed the outgassing requirements of ASTM E595 and are also excellent for use in vacuum environments.
