Industrial operators can speed up installation times and reduce parts inventories by using a single cable to provide both power and feedback between drives and motors. And now, operators have more single-cable options at their disposal with the release of Kinetix 2090 single cables that include halogen-free PUR and PVC options.
The halogen-free options are ideal for applications like food and beverage, where users want to reduce exposure to toxins, and for applications looking to meet IEC 60754-1.
Kinetix cables are designed to work in any of your challenging motion applications—simplifying machine design and helping minimize maintenance time. The cables are designed for systems that use Kinetix 5500 and 5700 servo drives, Kinetix VP-Series servo motors, and Kinetix VPAR electric cylinders. The cables also have a smaller bend radius for continuous-flex and static applications and are available in a wide range of cable AWGs, types, and connector options.
- Support VP-series motors and Kinetix 5700 and Kinetix 5500 servo drives
- Provide power and feedback in one cable which reduces setup time, downtime, and the number of parts that need to be managed
- Include motor power, brake, and feedback single cable options available from 18 to 6 AWG
- Low capacitance design maximizes system power density
- Feature encoder communication data pair with state-of-the-art noise rejection
- Follow the DESINA cables standard for jacket colors, making it easier to quickly identify a cable’s purpose on the plant floor
- Use SpeedTEC DIN motor-end connector for a quick one-quarter turn connection and flying lead or extension receptacle connector drive-end connection options
- Include NFPA79, UL, and IEC color-coded conductors
- Halogen-free PUR or PVC Single Cables
- Consist of halogen-free PUR (polyurethane) or PVC (polyvinyl chloride) material options chosen for their mechanical and chemical durability
- Feature overall tinned copper braid, delivering 85% coverage and tested for excellent EMC/EMI performance and permits power and signal conductors in a single cable
- Offer continuous-flex and continuous-flex extension options that are suitable for 8 million flex-cycles at 7x OD bend radius
- TPE Single Cables
- Consist of thermoplastic elastomer with superior mechanical and chemical properties
- Feature overall tinned copper braid with aluminum/polyester tape, delivering 100% coverage for excellent EMC/EMI performance
- Offer 10, 14, and 18 AWG continuous-flex cables and continuous-flex extension cables that are suitable for 20 million flex-cycles at 10x OD bend radius. The 6 and 8 AWG continuous-flex cables and continuous-flex extension cables are suitable for 6.5 million flex-cycles at 10x OD bend radius
