The L54120+ Water Meter is a battery-operated, LoRaWAN-based, wireless water meter. It measures water flow in gallons and record the number and duration of water usage events; the meter records total water consumption, water usage events, and water temperature The device is equipped with LoRaWAN secure wireless 915 MHz technology that offers line-of-sight, bi-directional communications of over six miles, reducing the need for repeaters. Additionally, the device requires no electrical connections.
With their long-range wireless connectivity, the units can operate within a 1,000-ft (305-m) radius from the gateway. Utilizing H2O Degree’s Smart Metering wireless data acquisition system and PC-based software, the L54120+ water meter collects and reports water consumption data at granular levels.

- Gallons
- Time water was flowing in minutes
- Number of events (event is defined as each time water starts then stops flowing)
- Water temperature (once/day)
- Battery voltage
- * All of the registers except temperature are cumulative or ever increasing registers. Even if the radio cannot transmit data, the water meter continues to record data
- By using a magnet, the installer can force a radio transmission and receive a LED sequence feedback on radio connectivity in real-time for ease/validation of commissioning

- Non-volatile memory maintains last reading in the event of a power failure
- The L54120+ battery has a five year warranty and can be replaced by the property’s maintenance staff
