imc Test & Measurement's high voltage measurement module for EVs captures differential voltages up to 1,500V and has 1,000V CAT II and reinforced insulation.

The CANSASfit HISO-HV-4 measurement module for EV and battery testing is designed to capture differential voltages up to 1,500V and has 1,000V CAT II and reinforced insulation. Four channels with banana laboratory terminals deliver measurement data via CAN-Bus with a maximum data rate of 1 kHz/channel.

The small clickable housing allows direct mechanical and electrical docking to other fit modules, in particular to the complementing HISO module types HISO-T-8 and HISO-UT-6 which are designed for measurements of temperature sensors (TC, RTD), low voltages, and MEMS accelerometers, all riding on high voltage potentials.

It's the latest in the series of CANSASfit measurement modules which includes numerous ultra-compact and robustly designed modules for CAN-based test tasks. These are for data acquisition (DAQ) during mobile tests or trials and allow direct connection of all typical signals such as voltage, current, temperature, rotational speed, displacement, and velocity.

  • Measurement range of +/- 1,500V
  • Highly isolated for measurement category 1,000 V CAT II
  • Test voltage: 5.4 kV ACrms
  • Channel-by-channel isolated measurement inputs, individual filter, and ADC
  • 400 Hz bandwidth at max. 1,000 Sps/channel sampling rate or CAN output rate
  • 24-bit digitization and with selectable CAN-output format (16 or 32-bit FLOAT)
  • Click mechanism providing both mechanical and electrical coupling

Applications:

  • Testing in e-mobility environments (e.g., electric and hybrid vehicles)
  • Measurement on battery modules and full stack HV batteries, DC link circuits in electric vehicles, etc.
  • Environments in which full personal safety must be guaranteed even in the event of faults
